It was from Swami Gitananda that Bill learned the set of kriyas known as Laya Yoga. Laya Yoga comes from both Vedic and Tantric teaching, emphasizing the 5th through 8th limbs of Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi. As a Zen student Bill was given the dharma name Tozan and as a Yoga sadhaka the devotional name Shantideva. He has been practicing Laya, Raja and Jnana Yoga for over 45 years.
